Do you have the beginnings of a business idea that could make you money?
 
Erewash Partnership Ltd will be delivering the programme on behalf of East Midlands Chamber of Commerce throughout Erewash and Amber Valley.
 
What do I need to do first?
 
Whatever stage your business idea is at, this programme can offer you all the support you need to become a successful entrepreneur and enable you to get your business started!
 
We need you to enrol and register in the first instance. We will discuss with you a package of support tailored to meet your individual needs and will arrange the most suitable workshops for you to attend in line with your skills and experience.
 
To be eligible for this initiative, you must be live in and be a resident of Erewash or Amber Valley.

D2 Business Starter Workshops

ALL the following workshops will be held in Amber Valley Borough Council at Ripley Town Hall.
 

Your Business – Getting the Basics Right (1) - Tuesday 10th October 9am - 1pm

•    Understanding what is involved in establishing and running a successful small business.
•    Explaining your product and potential customers to a wider audience.
•    Reviewing and developing a customer focused process for running your new business.
•    Being clear on what your priorities are in the business planning / start up process.

Understanding Your Market and How to Reach It (2) - Tuesday 17th October 12.30pm – 4.30pm

•    Understanding the marketing messages that will best promote your products.
•    Identifying the most cost effective ways to get your messages across to potential customers.

Business Planning for Start Up and Beyond (3) - Thursday 2nd November at 9am – 1pm

•    Produce a working business plan that can be easily updated on a regular basis.

Getting started with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn (5) - Thursday 30th November 9.30am - 1.30pm

•        How to set up an account on each of the platforms
•        The basics you must get right for each platform and why they are different from each other
•        Terminology and jargon
•        Creating Bio’s (biographies) that have impact
•        Understand the difference between created and curated content and why you don’t have to write everything from scratch
•        How to post on the different networks
•        Why, when and how to use hashtags

B2B Breakfast Networking Event - sponsored by the Durham Ox Inn

Our next Business Breakfast event will be held on Thursday 14th September at The Durham Ox Inn, Durham Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 8FQ.

The event will commence at 7.15am for 7.30am and finish around 9.15am.

Breakfast cobs will be served from 7.30am. Please notify us as soon as possible of any special dietary requirements.

Now is a crucial time to develop and maintain your business network.  What better way than to attend an Erewash Partnership event and enjoy a relaxed environment where you can catch up with your fellow members and make new contacts.

Elevator Pitches:
We will also select six member businesses to provide an elevator pitch – this is not compulsory! Your pitch time is only 2 minutes ("dead") and we can already feel those nerves jangling!

The event is FREE to Partnership Members only – one ticket per business – additional & non-members £9.95 each

Parking is available at the venue.

We ask all delegates who can no longer attend this event to advise us by 12noon on Monday 11th September 2017, after this date the final numbers will be given to the venue caterers.  
 
Members: Cancellation after this date or failure to attend on the day will result in a charge of £15 inc VAT.  Non-members: After this date the final catering numbers will be given to the venue meaning your money will be non-returnable and all issued invoices standIf you are unable to attend but can send a colleague please let us know.

 
 

Autumn Networking Exhibition & Business Showcase

The Erewash Partnership’s Autumn Networking Exhibition & Business Showcase event is taking place on Friday 13th October 2017 at Erewash Valley Golf Club.
 
The event will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  You may arrive and leave at times to suit your diary commitments - or stay for the whole event. A buffet lunch will be available at 12.30 p.m. 
 
The event aims to facilitate contact amongst local businesses and other organisations generally by providing an opportunity for relaxed conversation with people from the local business community, to meet old friends and to make new contacts. Additionally, the event provides information that can help you develop and grow your business. 
 
Whatever your business and whatever market you are aiming for, this event could provide the springboard, inspiration and contacts that you are looking for.
