AWD Development Solutions chosen as one of this year’s #SmallBiz100

Erewash Partnership member and training and development company AWD Development Solutions Ltd has been selected as one of Small Business Saturday’s SmallBiz100 2020 businesses.

Small Business Saturday has been held on the first Saturday in December for the past eight years. It highlights small business success and encourages people to ‘shop local’ and to support small businesses in their community and have a lasting impact.

One small business is featured on each of the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday, which is 5th December this year. A nation-wide application process is held to select the SmallBiz100 and AWD Development Solutions was one of this year’s 100 businesses chosen from thousands of entries.

Andrew Deighton, owner of AWD Development Solutions, said “2020 has been, and continues to be, a really tough year for many small businesses. Being selected as one of this year’s SmallBiz100 is fantastic recognition and a real boost.

“I set up AWD Development Solutions six years ago after being made redundant by Rolls-Royce following a 26-year career. I wanted to help other businesses to grow by developing business owners, their employees and their teams.

“To apply for SmallBiz100 you complete an application form with several questions to answer in detail. You’re also encouraged to make a short video to support your entry. I’ve applied for the last four years, so I’m absolutely delighted to have been chosen as one of the SmallBiz100 this time.

“My allocated day to be featured is 9th September. During that day I’m running a number of free online training sessions specifically to help small business owners develop themselves so they can grow their businesses. I’ll also be making several offers on my services and books.

“As part of my commitment to Small Business Saturday I’m going to set up free mastermind groups for individual business owners and owners of small businesses with employees. These groups will provide mutual support, ideas and advice. They’ll give members the opportunity to share experiences in a safe and confidential environment and build a valuable network and community.

“Becoming chosen as one of this year’s SmallBiz100 will help me to grow my business. In turn, that will mean I can help more businesses to grow by developing their people and their teams.”

Erewash Partnership Ltd would like to conratulate Andrew and wish his business every success.
