Maggie makes final call to residents to come forward for COVID booster

Maggie Throup, Member of Parliament for Erewash, has called on residents to come forward and received their Covid Booster Vaccination before the end of the campaign on 12th February.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has advised that, thanks to the success of the programme, the offer of an initial booster dose should end when the current autumn campaign ends, which will be on Sunday 12 February.

Anyone yet to come forward for their COVID booster is being urged to do so before the end of the campaign.

Maggie commented:

“It is not too late to get your Covid Booster jab. There are plenty of appointments available this week. If you haven’t received at least one booster dose, I would urge you to book an appointment online at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/.

“The Booster Vaccination can stop you getting seriously ill from Covid-19. I would encourage anyone who has not yet taken up the complete course on offer dependent on your eligibility, to do so as soon as possible.”
