Post: Customer Services Assistant (Phone Based)

Location: Manners Industrial Estate, Ilkeston

Pattern of working: Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:30 pm Some Saturday morning working (8.00 am – 12 noon) on a rota basis

Salary: Starting at £18,700 p.a.

AB Components Ltd are filtration specialists who supply filters and accessories nationwide. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Services Assistant to join our friendly team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

Based mainly within the sales office, you will work closely with colleagues and members of the public to deal with customer enquiries and orders, mostly over the phone. The role will initially involve taking messages and progress to the candidate being trained to answer enquiries themselves.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Familiar with a range of computer programs, including Outlook and Excel
  • Able to communicate confidently over the phone
  • Calm under pressure
  • Capable of completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Conscientious
  • Flexible and prepared to adjust start/ finish time if required.
