Supported Internship Job Coach (SEND) Job Description
Location: Gulliver’s Kingdom, Matlock
Start Date: Mid-September 2023
Salary: £23k FTE per annum
Other: A driving license and access to a vehicle is required
DFN Project SEARCH is a supported internship model that of offers young people with SEND the chance to complete a full-time programme of work placement and employability training whilst immersed within a business. The goal is sustainable employment, and the role of the Job Coach is integral to supporting the interns to access appropriate work experience within the business and to acquire the relevant skills needed for the workplace. The Job Coach will be based on-site at Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Monday to Friday with elements of hybrid working at home/office as and when required. You will have a ‘Can Do’ attitude, be driven and enthusiastic about helping people with learning disabilities to meet their aspirations. You will have the ability to look for creative solutions to meet people’s support needs in a way that respects their individuality. You will be able to work well using your own initiative and in collaboration with other partners, whilst managing expectations of all stakeholders.
