Former press and public relations practitioner Kevin Palmer has been made an honorary member of the Partnership.
Kevin retired earlier this year after a career in journalism and public relations that spanned six decades, running his own freelance business, Kevin Palmer Media Services the last 18 years. During that time he has written and issued dozens of releases securing high-profile publicity across the media for the Partnership
He was presented with a certificate by chief executive Ian Viles who said: “The Partnership board was delighted to bestow this rare title to Kevin in thanks and appreciation for his service over the years in promoting the Partnership and its work revitalising the economic wellbeing of the area.
Kevin said: “I’m grateful to the Partnership for this recognition. I have an affinity with the area as I went to school in Long Eaton and relatives lived in the borough so I consider it a privilege to have worked to promote the Partnership and some members in their efforts to boost the local economy.
