An exhibition featuring work produced by women as part of a recovery project is being hosted by Erewash Museum.
The Pause exhibition will be on display in the museum’s Lally Gallery from Thursday February 2 to Thursday March 2 and will include a variety of mixed media work including poems, photography and art.
Pause is a national charity that works with local authorities and charities across the UK to deliver support to women who have had children removed from their care on more than one occasion. In Erewash, the Pause programme is delivered by the charity Catch-22.
Leader of Erewash Borough Council, Councillor Carol Hart, said:
“I’m very much looking forward to seeing the Pause exhibition at the borough’s museum. I’m sure it will be a moving experience for both museum visitors and the amazing women who have produced art as part of their recovery.”
Erewash Museum is located a short walk from Ilkeston’s Market Place. The volunteer-led tea room offers drinks, lunches and sweet treats. Admission is free for both the house and gardens.
