Residents are reminded that the final community waste collection for the year is fast approaching.
Community waste collections allow Erewash residents to dispose of small bulky household waste for free by visiting the scheduled staffed sites in the borough between 8am and 11.30am. The final collection of 2022 is on Saturday 17 December at both West Park Recycling Centre on Wilsthorpe Road in Long Eaton and at Sawley Park Car Park on Draycott Road in Sawley.
The first collection of 2023 is on Saturday 14 January at both the Recreation Ground Car Park on Doncaster Avenue in Sandiacre and West Park Recycling Centre on Wilsthorpe Road in Long Eaton. The community waste schedule of collections for 2023 will also include: West Hallam, Little Eaton; Kirk Hallam, Sandiacre; Borrowash, Breadsall and Ilkeston.

Councillor Garry Hickton, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Environment, says:
“Community waste collections are a great opportunity for the public to responsibly dispose of small bulky waste. The final date for 2022 is right around the corner so this is your last chance to remove waste and clear some space for Christmas Day. The collection scheme has been immensely popular this year and I’m thrilled that it will continue in the New Year.”
