Direct Education Business Partnership CIO – Job Vacancy

debp-2

DEBP CIO (formerly DEBP Ltd) are a charitable organisation specialising in supporting the aspirational decision making of young people to help shape their future. We do this by introducing them to people and experiences which are aspirational, inspirational, challenging, and fun. All of the work we (DEBP) deliver is underpinned with employer links, to ensure currency of the information being imparted.

Come and join a Matrix accredited organisation with a team of dynamic staff who offer unique nationally recognised quality standards, who are dedicated in supporting young people from the local community in their progression towards a successful transition.

We are looking to expand our team through the addition of two Employability and Career Workers.  They will work as part of a team alongside experienced colleagues to offer support and guidance for young people (Key Stage 2-5) to develop their employability skills and define their career opportunities. The successful candidates will have exemplary communication skills and team working ability, as you partner closely with other staff in your schools and work in collaboration with employers. You will be committed to supporting young people to secure sustainable and equitable pathways into employment and recognise the success made by others.

We take pride in providing excellent customer service, being flexible and fair and making work enjoyable. We are a small but growing organisation and are looking for people who would like to work in this supportive environment.

These positions have a starting salary of £21,000 per year plus travel expenses and are initially advertised as 12 month contracts commencing November/December 2021 but with the potential to be extended, subject to funding. The office base will be Chesterfield or Derby with travel around local areas. As each role will involve travel, candidates must have their own transport and travel expenses will be paid.

Successful candidates will be funded to complete a Level 6 qualification in Career Guidance and Development as part of their role.
